Anorexia is hard. You’d think it’d be easy to just not eat.

Fresh ink I got recently. I’m really into the whole duality of things type deal. I was originally getting “si vis pacem para bellum” but i decided on this instead after one day I was chatting with a friend and i sarcastically said that it meant “beauty at the price of reality.” “si vis pacem para bellum” is really latin for “for peace, prepare for war.” But, after thought, I ended up preferring this so much more. It described a lot about me, and it was inspired by my mom. She despises tattoos and piercings, telling me that its a disgusting thing to do, that people aren’t accepted in the real world who have tattoos and piercings. I could never convince her that there’s a place for everyone in society. And this is my idea of beauty. Although it may be at the cost of reality. I’m not the only one who thinks this way either. Tattoos and piercings are, in truth, destruction and corruption of one’s body. I’m tainting my body with foreign objects and material, but I think its beauty. I believe in the pursuit of this art. Beauty cannot be achieved in one’s own mind if they cannot bypass the barriers of what is reality. Without sacrificing perception of the reality of things, beauty cannot be found. Do what makes you happy, be who you want to be. Be beautiful to yourself. That’s what this tattoo meant to me.

temples are decorated. Your body odds a temple, right? If you would wear titanium… It wouldn’t be as bad for your skin. :p
